Working with Dr. James Benz this past golf season in 2017 has dropped my handicap 4 points and I recently won the the 2nd flight championship. I attribute my accomplishments to my improvements in flexibility, balance, and strength while working with Dr. Benz. He also was able to modify exercises for me because of my knee and back injuries. I highly recommend Dr. Benz to anyone who is looking to improve their golf game.

Dr. Benz is very knowledgeable. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia a couple of years ago and have been suffering with a lot of pain. I started seeing Dr. Benz and with his help, I have been able to start an exercise routine that strengthened my muscles and helped to diminish the pain in my body. He is a great Chiropractor and trainer. He understands my symptoms and knows how to treat them differently. He helps my muscles to release tension and to relax with different techniques and stretches. Overall, I have been feeling much better since I started seeing him. I totally recommend DR. Benz!!!

I sought assistance from Dr. James Benz after a pretty painful golf season where my lower back pain was getting progressively worse. James was recommended to me as a Chiropractor who specialized in golf rehabilitation. A golf assessment quickly revealed the issue was caused by my hips being ‘locked’ which in turn was causing my back to take the majority of the stain. Three weeks later, my back is much improved and, more importantly, my drives have gained between 10 and 20 yards!! I would not hesitate to recommend James to anyone who would like to not only improve their back but also there overall game.

I have been training with Dr Benz for the past 12 years. He has been a very positive influence and result oriented person, helping me reach my goals and objectives. As for my golf game, I can honestly say I play better today than I ever have. This is contrary to what normally happens as we age. When I started with Dr. Benz’s nutrition regimen in September of 2018, I was over 300 pounds! Dr. Benz gave me a nutrition plan that I use to this day and to me it’s not a diet it’s a way of life! Don’t get me wrong I had my ups and downs in the last five months but Dr. Benz has been there for me the whole step of the way. Dr. Benz is tremendously patient and I can tell he genuinely cares for my well being. As of February 2019, I lost 50 pounds on his nutrition plan and like I said before it’s not a diet to me it’s a way of life.

The weight came on gradually over the years, of course sitting at my desk and in my car commuting to/from work didn’t help as well as trying to find time to exercise in this hectic world we all live in today. I began to experience foot pain (plantar fasciitis) and I’m sure the extra weight I was carrying contributed to that. So I reached out to a local chiropractor, Dr. Benz and we worked to resolve the plantar fasciitis.
During our treatments, we also discussed the importance of nutrition and exercise and Dr. Benz presented me with an option to help me lose weight and get in better shape. We set a goal to lose pounds and worked out an achievable way to accomplish my goal. I worked out with his guidance twice a week as well as I made time to exercise more on my own during the week. He offered advice on what to eat and coached me on nutritional recommendations.

In the past, I was always able to lose weight. I would get on a diet – pick one, any one – and lose a significant amount. However, over time, I would gain it all back while succumbing to my addiction to food. This has been going on for years. As I got older, my concern was the adverse effect that this would have on my health and quality of life. I was scared because my weight was increasing, I could no longer stick to any diet and I didn’t know how to eat properly. At that point, I reached out to Dr. Benz.
It’s quite possible that he has saved my life. Dr. Benz gave me a reasonable meal plan to follow and held me accountable in a very kind, clear and direct way. His personal attention and coaching has been the difference as he keeps me on track (or gets me back on track at other times) with regular check-ins (by email) and encourages me to continue on with texts and telephone conversations. For the first time in my life, I’m convinced that it is a lifestyle change – and one that I can certainly maintain. My cravings for sweets and other harmful foods are gone but I’m also able to enjoy dessert at times as well. I’ve lost about 30 pounds in a little over 5 months.
